Wildlife rescue station

During its 30-year history, the Rex Foundation has become a well-known authority in the rescue of wounded and abandoned pets; thus, the population often comes to us for help even if they find a wild animal in a similar situation. Therefore, red foxes, martens, roe deer, protected songbirds and birds of prey were frequented guests on Animal Island in recent years. However, the right infrastructure has been lacking for a full-scale rescue so far, so the Wildlife Station is one of our real prides. At the station it is possible to place the wild animals temporarily, if necessary, in perpetual, by creating a small game yard. Part of the rescue station is also open to visitors and is integrated into the REX Foundation's long-standing children's and adult education program. There are currently one permanent inhabitants in the wild yard, Stickli the raccoon.
